2007-08 Rules Exams
With the exception of Football Clock Operators, each FHSAA-registered contest official must pass the open-book rules exam in each sport in which he or she is registered in order to officiate contests in that sport. Each contest official must pass the closed-book rules exam in each sport in which he or she is registered in order to be eligible to officiate a state series contest in that sport.

Online Closed-Book Exam Schedule
FHSAA contest officials online closed-book rules examinations must be completed within the following timeframes:

Aug. 17-26, 2007: football and volleyball
Oct. 26-Nov. 4, 2007: basketball, soccer and wrestling
Feb. 15-24, 2008: baseball, flag football, softball, track & field and water polo


Online Open-Book Exam Schedule
FHSAA contest officials online open-book rules examinations must be completed within the following timeframes:

Aug. 28-Sept. 2, 2007: football and volleyball
Nov. 6-11, 2007: basketball, soccer and wrestling
Feb. 26-March 2, 2008: baseball, flag football, softball, track & field and water polo


Written Closed-Book Exam Schedule
FHSAA contest officials written closed-book rules examinations will be administered on the following dates and times:

Monday, Aug. 27, 2007: football, 6:30 p.m.; volleyball, 8 p.m.
Monday, Nov. 5, 2007: basketball, 6:30 p.m.; soccer and wrestling, 8 p.m.
Monday, Feb. 25, 2008: baseball, 6:30 p.m.; flag football, softball, track & field and water polo, 8 p.m.


Make-up Examinations
All make-up exams are to be completed online through the online testing center athttps://testing.fhsaa.org/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fdefault.aspx.  No registration is required.  Officials who need to take the make-up exam will simply log on to the online testing center during the window of availability listed below.  Officials taking the make-up exam as a “retake” may do so in order to achieve a score no higher than 75%.   However, if it is taken as a first time exam, no exam grade restrictions will apply.
