2006-07 Rules Exams
With the exception of Football Clock Operators, each FHSAA-registered contest official must pass the open-book rules exam in each sport in which he or she is registered in order to officiate contests in that sport. Each contest official must pass the closed-book rules exam in each sport in which he or she is registered in order to be eligible to officiate a state series contest in that sport.

Open-Book Exam Schedule
FHSAA contest officials open-book rules examinations must be completed within the following two-week timeframes:
Sunday, Aug. 6-Sunday, Aug. 20, 2006: football, swimming & diving and volleyball
Sunday, Oct. 15-Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006: basketball, soccer and wrestling
Sunday, Feb. 4-Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007: baseball, flag football, softball, track & field and water polo
Closed-Book Exam Schedule
FHSAA contest officials closed-book rules examinations will be given on the following dates and times:
Monday, Aug. 21, 2006: football, 6:30 p.m.; volleyball, 8 p.m.
Monday, Nov. 6, 2006: basketball, 6:30 p.m.; soccer and wrestling, 8 p.m.
Monday, Feb. 26, 2007: baseball, 6:30 p.m.; flag football, softball, track & field and water polo, 8 p.m.
Make-up Examinations
Requests to take the make-up examinations must be made in writing using the "Request to Take Contest Officials Make-Up Rules Examination" form and received in the FHSAA Office not less than one week before the scheduled date of the make-up examination.
