2005-06 Rules Exams
With the exception of Football Clock Operators, each FHSAA-registered contest official must pass the open-book rules exam in each sport in which he or she is registered in order to officiate contests in that sport. Each contest official must pass the closed-book rules exam in each sport in which he or she is registered in order to be eligible to officiate a state series contest in that sport.

Open-Book Exam Schedule
FHSAA contest officials open-book rules examinations must be completed within the following two-week timeframes:

Sunday, Aug. 7-Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005: football, swimming & diving and volleyball
Sunday, Oct. 16-Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005: basketball, soccer and wrestling
Sunday, Feb. 5-Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006: baseball, flag football, softball, track & field and water polo


Closed-Book Exam Schedule
FHSAA contest officials closed-book rules examinations will be given on the following dates and times:

Monday, Aug. 22, 2005: volleyball, 6:30 p.m.; footballball, 8 p.m.
Monday, Nov. 7, 2005: soccer and wrestlin, 6:30 p.m.; basketball, 8 p.m.
Monday, Feb. 27, 2006: softball and track & field, 6:30 p.m.; baseball and flag football, 8 p.m.


Make-up Examinations
Requests to take the make-up examinations must be made in writing using the "Request to Take Contest Officials Make-Up Rules Examination" form and received in the FHSAA Office not less than one week before the scheduled date of the make-up examination.
